
Pilar González-Navarro
Pilar González-Navarro holds a PhD in Psychology cum laude (University of Valencia, 1994). She is a lecturer in the Department of Social Psychology of Work and Organizations at the University of Valencia. She teaches in the area of Social Psychology and Psychology of Work and Organizations, in the Chair of Family Business of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia, and in the Master of Work, Organizational and Personnel Psychology of the Erasmus Mundus Master, in the University Master in Human Resources Management.
She is a member of the Research Unit in Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Valencia. Member of IDOCAL (Research Institute of Human Resources Psychology, Organizational Development and Work Quality). Member of the Research Unit of the Chair of Family Business of the University of Valencia. She has received three positive evaluations of research activity in the periods 1998-2006, 2007-2012, 2013-2018 and six positive evaluations of teaching activity.
She is part of the research team of the Chair of Family Business at the University of Valencia in the STEP Project for Family Enterprising. She has coordinated several research projects on the impact of different organizational and work processes (emotions at work, work conflicts, employability) on employees' behaviors and reactions (satisfaction, quality of life, counterproductive behaviors, etc.). In parallel, and in collaboration with the University of Groningen (The Netherlands), she has done research on social comparison and emotions at work. She has also been principal investigator in different educational innovation projects on competence training and the development of training pathways. In addition, she has been principal investigator in the "Valoritza i transfereix Programme" of the Research and Innovation Service of the University of Valencia (5 June 2020) based on an instrument for the analysis of employability (EAS) registered in the Patent Bank of the Generalitat Valenciana (UV-MET-202179R). She is also part of the research team for the intellectual property of the Employability Appraisal Scale extended version (EAS-60) (UV-MET-202179R.). She is also principal investigator of two collaboration agreements with non-profit organizations and participates in another collaboration agreement as part of the research team.
In the last 10 years she has participated as a researcher in 7 research projects funded by different official bodies, some of them granted to groups of research excellence. The results of the research carried out have allowed her, together with other members of the research team, to present 39 papers at national and international scientific conferences, such as EDULEARN, INTED, IATED, International Congress on Work Psychology and HR, etc... She has published 7 scientific book chapters and has co-authored a complete book .
She has also supervised a Doctoral Thesis and is currently directing a Doctoral Thesis in the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Valencia. In addition, she has supervised 30 Master Theses in the Erasmus Mundus Master in Psychology of Work, Organizations and Human Resources of the University of Valencia, Master in Employment and Labour Market and Master in the Master in Human Resources Management of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Valencia. She has co-authored 16 articles in national and international scientific journals, 10 of which have been published in prestigious journals (Q2) (International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health; Frontiers in Psychology; Psicothema; European Journal Of Work And Organizational Psychology; Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology; International Journal of Conflict Management; Psychology & Health, etc.) and the rest in double-blind journals.
