From 21 to 22 July, members of the STEER research team María Avenza Ivars, Marta Riera and Jorge Villagrasa participated in the 20th Annual Family Enterprise Research Conference (FERC), held in Dublin, Ireland, one of the most important international conferences in the field of family business.
During the conference, Marta Riera and Jorge Villagrasa presented their paper entitled:‘The Cost of Entrenchment: Irresponsible Succession Practices in Family Firm Leadership’, written in collaboration with Eric Clinton and Alejandro Escribá-Esteve.
For her part, María Avenza Ivars was selected to participate in the Doctoral Students & Junior Faculty Research Seminar, a session of the conference to which only 15 international researchers were admitted this year. She also presented a poster entitled:‘The Effect of SEW and Family CEO Leadership Styles on Family Outcomes’, a work linked to her doctoral thesis and developed together with Alejandro Escribá-Esteve and Esther Sánchez-Peinado.
At STEER, we celebrate the active participation of our researchers in high-level international academic forums, which reflect the team’s commitment to research and knowledge in family business.
