Professor Alejandro Escribá, professor at the University of Valencia and director of the Chair of Family Business, has participated in an opinion column published in the business daily Cinco Días. In his contribution, he analyses the main challenges facing family businesses, debunking myths such as the idea that succession conflicts are their biggest problem.

The column underlines that the most relevant difficulties are often linked to the lack of professionalisation, the absence of solid governance structures and resistance to generational change. It also emphasises the need to plan the generational handover as an opportunity to strengthen competitiveness and ensure the sustainability of these organisations.
