The Chair of Family Business at the University of Valencia (CEFUV), promoted by the Valencian Association of Entrepreneurs (AVE), EDEM Business School, IVEFA, the IEF – Institute of Family Business, the University of Valencia, and with the collaboration of CaixaBank and Broseta, has held a new breakfast meeting focused on the new scenarios of generational change in family businesses, an increasingly complex process that requires preparation, sensitivity and foresight.
On this occasion, Marta Gil (Caxton College) and Javier Gandía (Bodegas Vicente Gandía) participated, openly and warmly sharing their experiences, lessons learned and reflections on leadership, continuity and adaptation to evolving family contexts.
Both agreed that generational succession is a process that requires time, support and consistency, where nurturing family relationships and keeping founding values alive is essential to ensuring the continuity of the business project.
They also highlighted the importance of building trust among all stakeholders — shareholders, employees, customers and suppliers — as the basis for building strong leadership and ensuring a successful transition into the future.
